FAQs

  1. Do I need a piano?
Yes. Real pianos respond to the way you touch it. If you press a key with more weight in your arm you will get a bigger sound. If you press a key with less weight you will get a smaller sound. Keyboards that plug into a wall have limited or no capacity to do this. You can learn all the theory and analysis on a keyboard, however, the most fun part of the piano, its sensitivity to your touch, is lacking. 2. I don’t have a piano.  Can I still learn?
Yes. There are community resources available to help students get started in piano. To find a piano to practice on, you have several options from churches and schools with pianos, to renting a piano, or even being given a piano.Click here for more information on finding a piano to practice on.
